چکیده

This paper examines a set of parametric tunings for vibration absorbers to enhance stability in the event simultaneous chatter during machining and proposes novel tuning criterion minimizing definite integral frequency response function, while accounting damping absorber’s base component. Chatter vibrations are an inherent characteristic processes, common tool mitigating is tuned mass damper (TMD), which functions effectively when its dynamic characteristics appropriately natural vibrating Robotic recent cost-effective method material removal, but regenerative mode-coupling can arise on robot tools. TMD criteria different, suppress one may prompt other. Moreover, conventional analytical do not consider component, be valid assumption low-damped machine tools highly-damped The possibility component effect necessitates exploration alternative criteria.

Sweeping piezoelectric patch vibration absorbers

This paper presents a simulation study concerning the low-mid frequencies control of flexural vibration in a lightly damped thin plate, equipped with five time-varying shunted vibration absorbers. The panel is excited by a rain-on-the-roof broad frequency band stationary disturbance. The absorbers are composed of piezoelectric patches connected to time-varying RL shunt circuits. Continuous, swe...

Concurrent Design of Input Shaping and Vibration Absorbers

Systems that exhibit flexible dynamics are susceptible to vibration caused by changes in the reference command, as well as, from external disturbances. Feedback control is an obvious choice to deal with these vibrations, but in many cases, it is insufficient or difficult to implement. Input shaping has proven beneficial for reducing vibration that is caused by changes in the reference command. ...

The Study and Development of Energy Harvesting Vibration Absorbers

Vibrational energy harvesting seeks to convert ambient energy into electricity when battery replacement or line transmission is infeasible or impracticable. Electromechanical mass-spring harvesters are designed to exhibit a resonance frequency close to the principal vibrational frequency of the main or environmental system; excited near to resonance, the harvesters convert the kinetic or potent...

Drill string Vibration Modeling Including Coupling Effects

Abstract: The governing equations of motion for a drill string considering coupling between axial, lateral and torsional vibrations are obtained using a Lagrangian approach. The result leads to a set of non-linear equations with time varying coefficients. A fully coupled model for axial, lateral, and torsional vibrations of drill strings is presented. The bit/formation interactions are assumed ...

Draft: a Principle of Similarity for Nonlinear Vibration Absorbers

With continual interest in expanding the performance envelope of engineering systems, nonlinear components are increasingly utilized in real-world applications. This causes the failure of wellestablished techniques to mitigate resonant vibrations. In particular, this holds for the linear tuned vibration absorber (LTVA), which requires an accurate tuning of its natural frequency to the resonant ...
